Religious Education

Religious Instruction for children:

Our Religous Education program runs (approximately) from September to May each year. Generally, children enter in their kindergarten year and continue until they’ve been confirmed (about 9th grade). In the past, our classes have been held on Sundays after the 10:30 Mass and the Confirmation classes have been at 7 pm on Mondays.

Although sacraments are not received every year, we do encourage the children to attend each year in preparation for their sacraments and to develop a strong sense of their faith. First Communion classes are completed during the second grade and Confirmation classes are completed during the 8th and 9th grade.

If your child is older than this, they can still sign up for the classes- we will find a place for them to learn and earn their sacrament! If your child has not yet been baptized, please refer to the Sacraments | Baptism page and register for that as well.

Religious Instruction for Adults

Adults that are hoping to complete a sacrament (Baptism, 1st Communion, and/or Confirmation) are asked to contact our Religious Education Director, Monica Pang by emailing her at:

rel_ed@OLQAderby.org. An individual plan will be set up for you.
